October 15th (Blog Action Day) is right around the corner - and many of us will be talking about going Green.  Do The Green Thing is interesting, but I don't know how actionable this site is.  Any thoughts from all of you out there?

Sure, we trust Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and others to keep our privacy secure, but ultimately - what level of accountability will they have for information that leaks out? 

We sign agreements with Credit Card companies, but there is no written agreement with free ad-supported portals!  Is there now a different level of accountability?  How about a different level of legal responsibility?
